We have fenced off a suitable space, including a grassy knoll and some trees which, with the development of the discovery garden, has enabled the children to focus their senses on the fragrances and colours of the sensory garden and experience interactive activities related to the senses. These include a water feature, textured surfaces, wind chimes, sensory plants and other sensory/tactile features and a canopy under which classes can take place. Further items will be added in due course.

The cost of this project was around £7,000 and was mostly funded by FOTRS and completed in March 2010.

You can support us by making a one-off donation or a regular monthly payment. If you are a UK taxpayer then we can claim back tax and make any donations you make go even further. Find out how.

There are lots of ways in which you can support our work to raise funds for extra resources that broaden and enhance learning, enabling each child to have the widest possible range of childhood experiences. Find out more.
